On March 17, 2025, the Institute of Natural Resources and Environment, Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya, Trang Campus, led by Assistant Professor Dr. Prasert Tongnunui, the Institute’s Director, along with Assistant Professor Dr. Woraporn Tarangkoon
, the Institute’s Deputy Director, and faculty members, welcomed Ms. Rattanawolee Poolsawat, an ecology expert, and the inspection committee and officials from the Department of Fisheries. The purpose of the visit was to conduct an on-site inspection of the establishment and operation of a zoological park for large animals at the Rajamangala Trang Aquarium.
This site visit aimed to monitor the establishment and operations of the Rajamangala Trang Aquarium to ensure compliance with the regulations and standards of the Department of Fisheries, such as standards for managing animal enclosures and exhibition areas, animal nutrition standards, sanitation standards, wastewater treatment, waste disposal, and disease control, among others.
The Institute received valuable recommendations from the committee, which will be used to develop the Rajamangala Trang Aquarium into a standardized learning center for natural resources, particularly marine resources.
