On December 9, 2024, Assistant Professor Dr. Prasert Thongnunui, Director of the Institute of Natural Resources and Environment at Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya, Trang Campus, welcomed Mr. Patrick Salmon, Program Director at GVI, Siem Reap, Cambodia, to discuss the development of the Research Student/Volunteer Mobility Program in collaboration with Global Vision International (GVI). GVI is an organization that promotes volunteer projects and community development in several countries, including Thailand. Participants in the program will have the opportunity to assist with research, promote sustainable tourism, develop education, and enhance the potential of communities worldwide. This aligns with the policies and strategies of the Institute of Natural Resources and Environment, which aim to enhance comprehensive educational management support. This aligns with the institution’s vision of becoming “an institution that supports the production of human resources, creates research and academic services through integration with both domestic and international agencies.” The institute aims to become a center for field practices and research to promote knowledge and skills in environmental conservation and sustainable development among students or program participants.
