On August 15, 2024, at Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya, Trang Campus, Associate Professor Dr. Prasert Thongnunui, Director of the Institute of Natural Resources and Environment, in collaboration with the Faculty of Science and Fisheries Technology, led by Associate Professor Dr. Chakriya Chalard, Lecturer in the General Studies Program, organized a team of marine science students to collect water samples and analyze the total bacterial count from the dugong rehabilitation pool at the Rajamangala Trang Marine Animal Hospital. This initiative integrates knowledge from courses in General Microbiology and Marine Microbiology, applying them in real-world practices alongside the Rajamangala Trang Marine Animal Hospital and the operational team to enhance the efficiency of care provided for the young dugong.
