On February 6, 2025, with the approval of Assistant Professor Prasert Thongnui, Director of the Institute of Natural Resources and Environment, Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya, Trang Campus, the institute’s personnel organized a Virtual Reality (VR) Underwater Exhibition as part of the “Open House: Sustaining the Sufficiency Economy” academic event for the 2024 academic year at Sikao Prachapadungwit School, Sikao District, Trang Province.
The event was presided over by Mr. Chainarong Changrue, Director of the Secondary Educational Service Area Office for Trang and Krabi. The exhibition aimed to provide an innovative learning experience by offering an immersive VR simulation of the underwater world, fostering environmental awareness, and promoting marine conservation.
Participants had the opportunity to explore a virtual marine environment, gaining insights into the impact of plastic waste and human-induced pollution on marine ecosystems. The utilization of Virtual Reality (VR) technology represents a significant advancement in presenting environmental knowledge in an engaging and accessible manner, particularly for youth, who play a crucial role in the future preservation of natural resources.
