Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya (RUTS), together with the Department of Marine and Coastal Resources (DMCR) and the Marine Science Association of Thailand, are organizing the 8th National Marine Science Conference.

On October 22, 2024, the Natural Resources and Environmental Institute, RUTS, Trang Campus, under the leadership of Asst. Prof. Dr. Prasert Thongnunui, Director, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Woraporn Tharangkool, Deputy Director, convened with academics, researchers, and specialists from pertinent organizations to organize the 8th National Marine Science Conference. The Department of Marine and Coastal Resources (DMCR) Director-General, Dr. Pinsak Suraswadi, presided over the meeting in the Lampan Conference Room. The discussions covered the conference theme, “Science, Technology, and Innovation for a Changing Sea,” as well as the announcement of the RMUTSV administrative committee, budget, financing sources, site, and event organization. The conference will include expert guest lectures from national and international speakers, exhibitors, and vendor booths. RUTS, in partnership with DMCR, will host the conference at the Rua rasada Hotel, Trang, on June 25-27, 2025.
