Institute of Natural Resources and Environment, RMUTSV, Joins Forces for a Beach Cleanup to Foster Sustainable Environmental Conservation

On September 30, 2024, the Institute of Natural Resources and Environment, led by its Director, Assistant Professor Dr. Prasert Thongnunui, along with Lecturer Duanrung Chuairueng from the General Education Department, Faculty of Science, Technology, and Fisheries, guided students from the Aquaculture Program and the Resource and Environmental Management Program, Faculty of Science and Technology, and the Accounting Program, College of Hospitality and Tourism, RMUTSV Trang Campus, to participate in a beach cleanup at Rajamangala Trang Beach.

The activity aimed to reduce the accumulation of litter along the beach and prevent waste from flowing into the sea, which could negatively impact the marine environment and aquatic life. Additionally, participants cleaned roadside ditches in front of Trang Aquarium. This event not only made the area cleaner and more pleasant but also raised awareness among the younger generation, particularly students, about the problem of plastic waste and environmental conservation. It provided a great opportunity to instill environmental awareness and encourage everyone to take responsibility for both society and nature.
